Praise for this book

Really enjoyed reading this book, which had plot twists and turns all the way through. It was well written and definitely worth reading.

"intriguing concept"
The Lagos Swap is about four people who are related and unaware of their identical counterparts until a rape on the day of the wedding turns certain events on its head. I would give this novel four stars for originality. I love the exploration of the nearly-got-caught suspense. The scene scenes are vivid and relateable. For a debut author, tackling a host of characters and bringing them together to the end must have been a feat.

I read this book for a book chat because of its intriguing plot. Can two identical people live in the same town and not know each other? I wasn't certain of the likelihood but after reading this has changed my mind. I loved the suspense.

The usual written unusual. A great read. An exciting page turner perfect for lovers of mystery

The Lagos Swap is a page turner. It's conversational and it includes funny and interesting scenes. Don't pass this book by. It's worth your time

This was without a doubt, a pretty intense read. To be honest, it was more intense and plot twisty than I expected, even though the title alone gives away plenty of information (in a subtle way haha).

Without giving away spoilers for the rest, my favorite character is Idara. I have a soft spot for her character (the way she is) and I am a bit biased because I like her name. It means "joy", if I am not mistaken. The trials she was forced to go through, and the aftermath of it all really made me feel sad for her.

Overal, good and enjoyable read. Prepare yourself to be moved up and down, left and right. I'd recommend it to all who wish to be surprised and drawn into a wild story.

This book gave a lot away from the title but I was curious to read from the author’s angle how it came to be.

The beginning backstory was really intriguing

First time reading a multi narrative and author did amazing.

There was a lot of drama too😊

The Lagos swap is one book that took me on a roller coaster ride.

Like...

The coincidence of Identical twins (who weren't aware of the existence of each other) marrying another set of Identical twins.

And as fate would have it, an incident happened and there was a swap!

I think the swap, though mentally stressful to the characters as they had to start dealing with the weird attitudes of their spouses (that are not their spouses 🤣🤣), is for good. Because secrets were revealed, truths were told and issues were settled.

I love that this book deals with serious themes like abuse, mental health, frustration and other challenges of life. Some of these themes are subtle but one could pick them out while reading.

While this book is a multiple character POV read, one can easily pick out who said what and can flow with the story.

So, thank you to the author for this story, I hope to read more if his works

Undoing conjugal bonds, untying tied knots and
unmasking umbilical ties. These and many much more
uncertainties define the plot twist and fate of characters
trying to pick up the spoils and pieces of their lives. A Best
Seller type of a novel…
